MONT, one of the largest software distributors in Russia and the post-Soviet states, and Group-IB, an international company that specializes in preventing cyberattacks, have announced the start of their partnership.

As part of its strategic shift from direct sales, Group-IB plans to provide customers in the CIS countries with local support and significantly expand its geographical coverage. As for MONT, the new partnership will boost its position in the field of information security and help it enter the market of hunting, analysis, monitoring and forecasting of cyberthreats using Group-IB's technologies.

Opening a window to the CIS

Thanks to the agreement, more than 5,000 MONT partners will gain access to Group-IB’s advanced technologies designed to detect and prevent attacks, monitor adversaries, and analyze and respond to cyberthreats.

MONT will provide a full cycle of transactions, logistics, expertise, and technical support for Group-IB's products. Group-IB's centers of excellence, with demo equipment representing its entire product stack, will be deployed in the distributor's locations. MONT, which holds leading market positions in Russia, Belarus, Transcaucasian, and Central Asian countries, will train local technical specialists to ensure high-quality presales, implementation, and technical support of Group-IB's products. As a result, MONT partners in the CIS countries will receive a turnkey solution—products and services from a single source, which will significantly enhance interactions with customers. Today, the distributor has eleven representative offices in the CIS, five of which are in Kazakhstan.

“A while ago, we adopted a strategy of switching to sales through a partner channel. MONT’s strong regional position will help scale our presence in the CIS and expand our competencies,” — says Igor Smirnov, Chief Commercial Officer at Group-IB. — “The company is growing rapidly, which means that we need reliable partners who share our philosophy and approach to cybersecurity. When it comes to real-life incidents, every minute counts. To be competitive on the CIS market, the company must be easily reachable for customers and provide prompt, effective technical assistance. This task will be taken on by MONT, whose experience and extensive partner network will help boost sales in the CIS countries.”

What does the MONT partner network offer?

Group-IB's product stack includes Threat Intelligence, which has been recognized as one of the best in its class by Gartner, IDC, and Forrester thanks to its unique data and in-depth knowledge of the underground market and cybercrime tactics. Seeing as new fraud schemes targeting online banking and e-commerce services emerge regularly, MONT will focus on promoting Group-IB Secure Bank, which was developed thanks to a grant from Skolkovo, the innovation center where Group-IB R&D is located. Group-IB Secure Bank is a client-side fraud and attack prevention system that operates across sessions, platforms, and devices in real time. The solution protects against phishing and social engineering attacks, banking Trojans, and other malicious activity.

Group-IB's flagship solution, Threat Detection System (TDS), is designed to detect targeted attacks at an early stage. TDS detects various types of threat, including zero-day attacks, and makes the client’s SOC (Security Operation Center) significantly more effective in responding to security incidents. Thanks to unique threat intelligence data and machine learning technology, TDS protects corporate networks, hunts for threats, and responds to even the most complex cyberattacks.

“MONT is continuously expanding its cybersecurity product line so as to respond to market changes and partner needs. Group-IB's products and solutions hold great potential. We believe that our partner network will appreciate their functionality and advantages,” — comments Vsevolod Krylov, Head of Directorate for Cooperation with Russian and Foreign Vendors at MONT. — “For our part, we will provide our expertise in developing a partner sales channel and promoting domestic software to ensure that Group-IB's products enjoy a strong position on the market.”

On January 23, 2020, at 11:00 am (Moscow time), Shalva Gogua, Group-IB's Partner Relations Director, will hold a webinar on Group-IB's key products and benefits of cooperation for all MONT partners in Russia and the CIS. Register to join the webinar
